Leatherback Turtles Sculpture
Roland has travelled several times to the leatherback beaches of Sorong in West Papua New Guniea to help with the relocation of some of the nests. The Pacific Leatherback turtle, the largest turtle in the world is critically endangered and through the efforts of Save Our Leatherbacks Operation (S.O.L.O.) has slowly been reversing their extinction. Roland has sculpted this scene in solid bronze capturing the hatchlings bursting from the sands and on there way to the oceans abyss. Approximately 6" X 10" and comes numbered and mounted on an oak base. Some of the proceeds go to help S.O.L.O.
